Closing Ceremony

ALL THE TEACHERS PREPARED A GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR THE STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED TO EVERY CLASS, TO AWARD THEIR EFFORT AND THEIR DEDICATION. The ceremony started with welcome words prepared by the teachers Ricardo and Jacqueline. Teacher Katia, Dania and Sofia gave some thankfull words to the students by their effort to came attend to every class. After that, some dynamics were prepared related with the previous topics studied in classes, the dynamics were: the telephone game, games with ballons, and  music games were played in order to have a more fun environment. Also we got as an special guest Carol hills with some of her bests tracks. Moreover, teachers prepared a video with the best pictures of every class, to remind the best moments. To end the ceremony teachers gave a diploma to students to award their participation in this workshop. Finally, teacher and students shared food and spent a good time together.

Skill:    Reading Teachers:   Ligia Hernández, Dania Crespín, Karen Gómez, Sara Chévez, José Luis Bonifacio. Teacher started the class with a fun activity, in this one students had to put in order some words that were in a table, students only had a minute to figure out which was the word. After that, teacher asked to the  students to go  to the whiteboard and play Pictionary. So students had to draw a representation of the word without saying or using letters or numbers in their drawing. The other students had to guess the word. Then teachers gave  students a reading about Rachel’s 4 weeks on South America. They  read it twice, first by themselves and then out loud with a partner. The  activity consisted on students picking papers with questions related to the reading; they answered so teachers saw that the text was comprehended. Skill:  Listening Teachers:  José Ardón, Sara Domínguez, Tirsa Guevara, Abigail Guevara, Carolina Zúniga, Sofía Vides. To start the class teacher provided to students some pages with a song so they had to put in order the lyrics. After that teacher Carolina explained the meaning of some words that were pasted in the board, later she gave to the students some images related with the movie "The princess and the toad" so they had to put in order, the sequence of the movie Moreover, students were requested to listen to an audio while they were reading the story of the movie, they had to listen carefully and remember because the next activity consisted on answering some questions without looking at the paper. Then, teacher told to the students that they had to write a story by using the words provided at the beginning of the class, this with the objective to see if student understood the topic and the words that were in the audio. Skill: Grammar Teachers name:  Michelle Marroquin,  Michell Hernández, Brendaly Fernández, Jacqueline Contreras, Sandra Rodezno, Ricardo Mezquita. To start, the teacher divided the class  in 2 groups, the students had to pass to the front and write one word that started with the last letter of the word before. Then, the teacher introduced the topic "present perfect", she explained its structure and how to create positive and negative statements, as well how to make questions with this tense. After the explanations students had to complete some exercises that were in their worksheet, then they passed to the front to write the answer on the board. Moreover, students worked in pairs and they had to put in order some cards to create a sentence in the present perfect. Skill:  Vocabulary Teachers:  Nathalia Castillo, Kathia Pérez, Gema Rivera, Denisse Carranza, Maria Nochez, Amada Alfaro. Teachers started the class by playing Twister, later they introduced the topic that was good and bad experiences, then students worked in pairs and matched pictures with some questions in the board,  Moreover, students made two lines and being face to face they had to make some questions about pictures provided by the teacher, they were asked to use the phrase "have you ever...." Later, the teacher gave to students a piece of paper with some questions about their good and bad experiences, and they had to ask to other teachers those questions. Finally when they finished the answers, they shared the information they got. After that, students created a conversation using phrases that were pasted an the board. At last, to end the class teachers gave a diploma to students in order to award their effort and their attendance to the class...

Teacher started the class with an activity, in this one students had to guess the artist of the song.  After that, teacher prepared a game, in this one students had to pick a ball from a basket, if they couldn't get a ball they had to write a sentence in the board about one artist. Furthermore, students had to work on their handout and underline importants facts on the reading.  Then they had to make pairs read a text and finally write the important fact they found. Later, teacher asked to the students to answer some questions related to the previous reading when they finished, they had to share their answers with a partner. First of all she played some music, then students made two groups, after that they  threw a ball into a basket, when the ball got inside the basket they had to pick a paper in the floor that had a habit written on it, after that they had to paste it next to its correspondent image in the whiteboard. Later, the new vocabulary was reviewed in the dialogues. Then teacher handed students images and she read a little description, as she read, students had to identify which image matched with the description  and passing to the front to paste the image in the board.  Moreover, students listened a text that the teacher read so they could answer some questions before.
